Any fan of the French movie Amelie, will recognize this little lady. With her small, pursed, humble smile; her short, stacked wedge haircut with short bangs; and big, black doe eyes full of mischief,she portrays exactly the icon Audrey Tautou played to the hilt in the beautiful 2001 movie.
This doll is 15 inches tall. Her hair is made of black felt in an innovative 3 dimensional style. Her face is painstakingly hand painted with acrylic fabric paints. She comes complete with outfit, including a deep green sweater that fastens with a blue button; a pretty little sleeveless top made in pretty black/red/green paisley print, edged with white binding, and fastened with two small snaps; and a feminine red skirt with a ruffle and red lace overlay that fastens with a snap. Her tiny Doc Marten boots are hand sewn from black felt.
Amelie Poulain's garden gnome is a finger puppet, and is complete with tall red hat in felt, white felt beard, and tiny hand painted face.
